Official boat badge of HMS Greenwich
Boat badge. HMS Greenwich 1915. Official design. On a blue field, an hourglass over a star, both silver. 'GREENWICH' on reverse. Diamond shape with gold rope twist border. Pattern submitted in November 1919. Cast brass, painted, drilled at corners. From the arms of Greenwich granted in 1903, referring to the work on time measurement and astronomy carried out at the Royal Observatory.
