Celestial hand globe

Celestial hand globe. It forms a pair with the terrestrial globe, Standford GLB0224. Astronomical details on the sphere include a labelled magnitude table below Crater. The Milky Way is labelled, and a total of 25 stars and three star groups are named. The 48 Ptolemaic constellations and four of the non-Ptolemaic constellations are drawn. Seven of the southern constellations are drawn, as well as those of Plancius, those of Hevelius, except Triangulum Minus, and all those of Lacaille.
