Gun tompion from HMS King George V (1911)
Tompion from the one of the ten 13.5 - inch main armament guns of HMS 'King George V' 1911. Depiction of a male human head, that of King George V (reg.1910-35) facing left, as on coins of the period. The tompions of the 1939 'HMS King George V' were similar but with a rope twist border.
