Carved wooden box
Chip carved wooden box with sliding lid, possibly used as a snuff box. Carved from wood of the 'Halsewell', an East Indiaman wrecked off Seacombe in 1786.The lid is decorated with a spray of foliage. The base with an anchor and inscription: 'M P 1796'.
