The sitter is also wearing a white waistcoat and a white skirt with a ruffle at the neck. The sitter has grey hair, which is long, and is not wearing a hat. The background is blue, grey and pale pink in colour. The drawing is in a gold frame with beading and moulding, which is glazed and has a label adhered to the back. The frame also has a gold mount with an oval aperture and writing under the image and in the top right.
