Badge: Legion of Honour, 5th Class 1852
Awarded to William Nathan Wright Hewett. Badge: Silver star of five rays with double points with a small silver ball on each point, enamelled white, the arms connected with a green enamelled laurel and oak wreath surmounted by an Imperial Crown. Obverse: In the centre the head of Napoleon, gilt. Inscription: 'NAPOLEON EMPEREUR DES FRANCAIS'. Reverse: The Imperial Eagle gilt, encircled by a blue enamelled circle. Inscription: 'HONNEUR ET PATRIE'. Suspended from a scarlet watered silk ribbon.
