Badge: Uniface circular medallion of blue and gold enamel, the outside edges bear four golden crowns at right angles to each other. In the centre is a gold eagle surrounded four royal initials 'F II' {Frederick the Great). and a blue band inscribed: 'POUR LE MÉRITE'. In box of issue.
