Prize medal won by George Knott at a model making competition at Plymouth. Obverse: Kneeling figures of a carpenter (left) and a blacksmith (right) with a painter standing behind, within a trefoil-shaped border. Legend: 'WITHOUT THESE CANNOT A CITY BE INHABITED.' Maker's names inscribed below the forge 'J. SHELLY DEL J. MOORE SC.' Reverse: Legend (within a quatrefoil): 'DEVON AND CORNWALL WORKING CLASSES INDUSTRIAL EXHIBITION.'
