Telescope part

A brass ring from the objective lens of a telescope, with a milled upper and lower edge. It is one of the relics of Sir John Franklin's last expedition in search of the North-West Passage, which set out in 1845. It was found at Montreal Island on 2 August 1855 by the Anderson search Expedition.
