Design for new grasshopper pallet

Plain buff-coloured card box marked by Gould as containing 'New pallet design for Harrison 1 (Sept 1934)', but now also containing some parts from the later, 1952 and/or 1961 restorations. Gould’s parts include several paper outlines of pallets (some marked ‘reflected’ and some ‘direct’), four unfinished oak pallets (? two possibly in lignum vitae) with one broken pallet tail, and six brass anti-friction roll pins. The parts from the later restorations are from H1s gridirons. These include six sawn-off reddish copper alloy rods (20th century but appear to have been fitted to H1 at some stage), thirteen pieces of rather corroded brass rod (probably original H1 rods) and eighteen rather corrosion-pitted steel rods (probably original H1 rods).
