Button, Royal Marines uniform: pattern 1953
Button. Domed. Smooth edge. Around the bottom edge going up either side is a wreath of leaves. Within the wreath on a raised circular border with a stippled background is ROYAL MARINES. In the centre is a post-1953 crown above a fouled anchor with the rope appearing over the left-hand stock, then goes under the shank to the right , then over the shank to the left and ends under the left arm.
