Button, Royal Marine Artillery uniform: pattern 1855
Button. Domed. Smooth edge. Within a wreath on a lined background is a raised circular belt with buckle with ROYAL MARINE ARTILLERY on it. In the centre is a pre-1901 crown with a fouled anchor with the rope tied to the top of the ring, then appearing from under the right-hand stock, goes over the shank to the left, under the shank to the right and then under the right arm. At both ends of the stock is a grenade.
