Travelling chest
Mahogany combined washstand/ dressing table on detachable turned legs. Brass drawer knobs and side handles. An example of an officer's cabin furniture of the Nelson period. Originally fitted with a blue/ white impressed Copeland mark, bowl believed to have been stolen by someone during gallery redecoration. Fitted with a boot drawer, tea caddy and writing compartments. Some brass handles have been replaced with polyester resin cast replicas.
