Folding desk
Rectangular rosewood folding desk table on central panelled column and quadrefoil legs. Lift uphinged lid opens to reveal a copy of the Arrowsmith Atlas of 1842. Evidently a purpose made table as it has a MSS index to the maps fitted at either side. A thumbscrew beneath allows the table to tilt and the top slides into a central or balanced position to use as a reading desk.
