In distance King James II and Father Petre in flight carrying the Prince (left). Legend: 'DEO VINDICE, IUSTITIA COMITE' (God our protector, Justice our companion). Obverse: Troops disembarking from boats on a quay, the town, a fleet on the horizon. Legend: 'CONTRA INFANTEM PERDITIONIS" (Against the child of perdition). Exergue: 'EXPEDITIO NAUALIS PRO LIBERTATE ANGLIAE MDCLXXXVIII' (The Naval Expedition for the liberty of England).
