Denarius
A denarius. Obverse: Within a pearled border, head of Gnaeus Domitius Ahenobarbus (right). Inscribed (right) 'AHENOBAR'. Reverse: Within a pearled border a trophy on the prow of a war-galley. Inscribed: 'CN . DOMITIUS IMP.' This coin commemorates his naval victory against forces of the Second Triumvirate (Marc Antony, Octavian, Lepidus).
