Medal commemorating the defence of Colberg and Paul von Werner, 1760. Obverse: Bust of General von Werner in a cloak (right), bare-headed. Cross of decoration round neck. Legend: 'PAULUS A WERNER COLBERGAE LIBERATOR.' (Paul V . Werner, the liberator of Kolberg.) Reverse: A warrior in a helmet, with the shield of Prussia, standing on the shore protecting the crouching figure of a woman in a mural crown, holding the shield of Colberg from the attack of a sea monster. Legend: 'RES SIMILIS FICTAE.' (A fact similar to fiction.) Exergue: 'POMERAN . LIBERATA MDCCLX.' (Pomerania liberated 1760.)
