Mitten, over
Canvas over mittens lined with wool. Hand sewn. Joined by strap which goes round the wearer's neck. Marked "Lieut Parr" in ink. Used on Nares' Arctic expedition 1875. Belonged to Lieutenant A A C Parr, HMS "Alert".
