Medal commemorating Admiral Edward Montagu, 1st Earl of Sandwich (1625-1672). Obverse: The bust of Admiral Montagu, left, hair long, in falling lace collar and doublet buttoned. Reverse: Inscription, (incuse) 'F . D . MOVNTAGV TRIBVNVS . EQVITVM CLASSI . BRITANICE . AE BARIOQ . PRAE . FECIVS . NECNON . SERMO : DNO : PROTECTORI . A . SACRIS CONSILETA . 33 . 1658'. No loop fitted. A copy of MED1120, but a poor imitation. The head is larger.
