Medal commemorating the capture of Louisbourg, 1758. Obverse: Bust of Britannia (left), head bound with a fillet, hair twisted into a knot behind. No drapery. A small trident behind the neck and a small cap of Liberty is placed in front. Legend: 'O . FAIR . BRITANNIA . HAIL'. Pearl boarder. Reverse: Victory, running (right), bears in her left hand a trophy consisting of a palm branch, armour and shield with French lily. In her right hand a large fish from whose mouth issue a number of small ones. Legend: 'LOVISBOVRG . TAKEN . MDCCLVIII.'
