Medal depicting the naval monument at Valparaiso. Obverse: View of the monument. Legend: 'A SUS HEROES LA PATRIA RECONOCA.' (The grateful fatherland to its heroes.) Exergue: 'ARO. PRAT.' Reverse: Inscription, 'INAUGURATION DEL MONUMENTO CONMEMORATIVO DE LAS GLORIAS DE LA MARINA VALPARAISO MAYO - 21 - 86.' (Inauguration of the monument commemorating the glories of the navy. Valparaiso. May 21.86). This was erected in honour of the Chilian naval heroes after the war with Peru.
