Ingot commemorating the 'Charles W Morgan'
Rectangular shaped ingot. Obverse: Starboard broadside view of the 'Charles W Morgan', sails set. Inscription: 'CHARLES W. MORGAN'. Reverse: Inscription, 'CHARLES W. MORGAN 1881. The only American wooden whaling ship still in existance, the famous "Charles W. Morgan" sailed the seas for 80 years. She is preserved at Mystic Seaport, Connecticut -a symbol of one of the most memorable periods in America's Maritime History.'
