Obverse: Neptune standing in his horse-drawn sea-car, a trident in his left hand, holding a wreath over the head of Admiral Jervis seated (left). Reverse: Inscription, 'SR JOHN JERVIS WITH 15 SAIL PURSUED & DEFEATED THE SPANISH FLEET OF 27 SAIL OF THE LINE FEBRUARY 14TH 1797'. On edge: 'PORTSMOUTH HALFPENNY PAYABLE AT THOS. SHARPS'.
