War Service of Surgeon Lieutenant P Ransome-Wallis, 1941-1945

An Ensign Photo Library Album of card, paper and linen, containing 50 captioned photogrpahic prints relating to the wartime career of Surgeon Lt. P Ransome-Wallis. The themes can be divided as follows:

1) The invasion and capture of Assab, Eritrea (Ethiopia) while in HMS Dido (1939), 10-12 June 1941
2) Bomb damage to HMS Dido's B Turret while off N. E. Crete, 29 May 1941
3) HMS Dido at Brooklyne Naval Yard, November 1941
4) HMS Osprey [Anti-Submarine School), 1943-1945.
5) HMS Ambuscade (1926) firing squibs, 1943
6) Model of HMS Dido (1939) made by Dr. P. Ransome-Wallis, 1940-1944.
