Obverse: A woman (L), standing on a rocky shore looking over a calm sea and dressed in the classical style, beckons with her right hand to a sailing ship proceeding towards the shore under main and topsails, her left hand rests on a foul anchor with cable attached. Legend: "HEARTS OF OAK JUVENILE BENEFIT SOCIETY". Exergue: "1887". Reverse: an oak wreath secured at the bottom by a knot surrounds the inscription: "PRESENTED AS A TOKEN OF RESPECT FOR SERVICES TO THE SOCIETY".
