Legend inner: 'KING EDWARD VII PATRON'. Inscription below very faint: 'G.W.de SAULLES'. Reverse: A female figure [Hope] seated (right), an anchor and RNLI Lifebuoy beside her, assisting a lifeboatman [Coxswain Superintendent] to buckle his lifebelt. A lifeboat manned in the distance (left) ready to launch.Inscription near the edge, below left: 'G de Saulles'. Suspended by a bar attached to two dolphins, from a medium blue ribbon.
