English delftware plate painted in blue with the head of Admiral Augustus Keppel (1725-1786) turned half to left in the centre. The inscription 'ADMIRAL KEPPEL FOR EVER' is painted in black near the edge. There is a band of patterning around the portrait and rim with foliage above the inscription.
