John Oldenshaw Bathurst
Miniature entitled 'John Oldenshaw Bathurst'. The miniature is executed in watercolour and gum arabic on paper and shows a naval midshipman (Volunteer 1st Class) with his telescope. It is contained within a carved wooden frame which is painted gold. The miniature bears an inscription. There is a label attached to the miniature which raises questions to who is depicted, either John Oldenshaw Bathurst or William Samuel Brown.
