Lodestone and keeper

Lodestone and keeper. The keeper is marked NAV0714.1and can be found via the Whole/Part toggle. The lodestone is mounted in a pierced brass case, engraved with leaves. It has a rather crude suspension hook. One wide side is engraved 'Ove Hovalt' the opposite side 'Anno 1799'. One narrow sides is engraved 'Polus Antarcticus', the other 'Polus Arcticus' It is armed at the bottom with two pieces of steel.
