Board of Trade standard barometer

This Kew-pattern barometer is the version issued by the British Board of Trade. It has a brass case painted black and brass fittings, including a gimbal mount. The cistern at the base of the instrument is made of iron. The scales are silvered. The barometer scale is marked from 88 to 109 with 0.1 divisions and a vernier allowing reading to 0.01. The temperature scale is marked from 0 to 120F with 1F divisions.
