Scales: 1. Height scale on spring-loaded index arm graduated from 18-60 in black figures and from 9-18 in red figures.
2. Range scale on micrometer drum. Various figures and Japanese symbols.

Horizon glass:Perpendicular adjustment by means of screw on back of mirror. Parallel adjustment by means of capstan screws

Index glass: Perpendicular adjustment by means of screw on back of mirror.

Micrometer drum: Attached to carriage which moves alongside index bar by fluted knob on carriage. Locking device for drum.

In fitted wooden box 11.5" x 6.5" x 5.3" (29.2 x 16.5 x 13.5 cm) containing tommy bar, screwdriver, and two spare mirrors. Also book of instructions in Japanese.
