Black painted brass body with alloy fittings, wooden handle and rubber eyepiece.
Scale: graduated from 1-10 cables for distance and from 30-150 ft for height. Scale is a sliding fit to allow adjustment for height and is protected by hinged glass panel.
Optics: double-image principle focussed by milled knob at front end of instrument.
Fitted wooden box 6.75 x 4.4 x 4.6" (17.2 x 11.1 x 11.7cm) containing instructions for use inside lid.
