Sextant Stand

A varnished brass sextant stand with three folding feet and a rack and pinion adjustment for height. The upper bowed section carries a universal counter-balanced mounting for a sextant, which can be set at any required angle.

The stand is contained in a fitted rectangular wooden box, with a trade label in the lid for Henry Hughes and Son, Marine Opticians, London.
