Lid

Oval sugar bowl lid, part of a set reputedly belonging to Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805), said by the donor to be 'Nelson's tea service from the "Victory"'. It is painted with a border of red currants, purple leaves and scrolling gilt foliage. The shape curves upwards and it has a gilt knob.
