The house flag of the Port of London Authority. The PLA, formed in 1909, took over London's private dock companies, together with responsibility for maintaining the tidal waterway from Teddington to the sea. It no longer owns any docks and no longer has overall responsbility for the river, but still overseas the running of the port.
