Plate, reputedly belonging to Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805). A white porcelain plate with painted decoration. It has a brown and gilt reeded border bound with pink ribbons. There is a band of foliage on the inside of the rim and a central medallion profile of a classical head with a caduceus, in white on a brown background with a pink beaded border. An old, hand-written label on the base reads 'The palte belonged to Lord Nelson'.
