Nazi German banner (1935-1945)
National Socialist banner, 1935-45 pattern. The banner is cotton with a synthetic fibre ribbon attached. It has a silver wire fringe along the bottom and is machine sewn with a printed design. Two rings are attached for suspension. The flag has a red field with a white disc in the centre bearing a black swastika. A white inner border runs round the edge of the banner.
The banner was acquired by Sir Harold Spencer Jones (1890-1960), during the Nuremberg trails when he was present as an official observer.
