Archer (1849) and Wasp (1849)
Scale 1:48. Plan shows the sheer lines, longitudinal half breadth and the body plan design drawing for the Archer class sloops Archer (1849) and Wasp (1849). The drawing bears the signature of John Edye [Assistant Surveyor of the Navy and designer 1832-1855]. The title of the drawing is "A Draught prepared in compliance with their Lordships Order of the 25 April 1847 for building a steam sloop of the Rattler class". A further annotation states "Approved - to be named 'Archer and 'Wasp' and the programme corrected accordingly".
