Arethusa (1849), Constance (1846) and Octavia (1849)
Scale 1:48. Plan shows the sheer lines, longitudinal half breadth and body plan for Arethusa (1849), Constance (1846) and Octavia (1849), three 50 gun fourth rate ships of the line. The title of the drawing is "A drawing prepared for converting Arethusa, COnstance and Octavia into 51 gun screw frigate of 500 N.H.P". The drawing bears the signature of Isaac Watts [Chief Constructor of the Navy, 1860-1863], Joseph Large [Constructor 1861-1863], Admiral Sir Baldwin Wake Walker [Controller of the Navy 1848-1861] and the name Dundas.
