A Staffordshire earthenware figure depicting Prince Alfred, Duke of Edinburgh (1844-1900). He stands on a white oval base, the right arm resting on a capstan, the left holding a straw hat. The figure wears a blue jacket, white shirt and trousers with a red sash, black scarf and yellow hat. The black enamel is applied over the glaze. 'P ALFRED' is moulded on the base.
