Sword Scabbard
Scabbard for solid half-basket hilted sword. The black leather scabbard has two gilt lockets, rings and a chape. Embossed on the lockets and the chape are acorn and oak leaves. The bottom part of the chape is also decorated with a honeysuckle ornament. The top locket is engraved with the words 'Prosser. Maker to the King and Royal Family, London'. The sword was made in 1828, and the scabbard was refitted later. The leather at the top of the scabbard is cracked.
