USA merchant ensign (1812-14)
Fifteen star American flag, 1795-1818 pattern, from a merchant brig captured by HMS Borer, Captain Richard Coote during the War of 1812. It is made of hand-woven wool bunting with cotton stars and is hand-sewn.
