Silver teapot presented to Lieutenant George James Evelyn
A silver teapot with bun feet and a hinged lid. The sides are gadrooned, the edge decorated with scallop shells and foliage. There are shells and foliage on the reeded handle and the spout. Inscribed on the side: 'From the Merchants and Ship Owners of Barbados / TO LIEUTENANT GEORGE JAMES EVELYN / of the Royal Navy / March 1816.' The Evelyn arms are engraved on the opposite side.
