Logbook kept in the CUTTY SARK, by Richard John Woodgett (b.1873) as an apprentice, 24 May- 26 July 1889, on a voyage from London to Sydney, and as Second Mate, 15 August-9 November 1892, on a voyage from London to Newcastle (New Suth Wales). Also contains notes on navigation and mathematics, c.1890-91, possibly made in preparation for examination as Second Mate.
