Plate
A green plate printed with a green anchor symbol incorporating the initials 'OL'. Silver and green lines decorate the rim. Printed on the base is 'ORIENT LINE' and the company house flag with the printed and impressed maker's mark. There is also an impressed date code for 1957. As used in Orient Line first class accomodation from 1960. Founded in 1877, the company ran services to Australia, extending their routes to North American ports in the 1950s.
