Patch box
Oval patch box with a mirror inside the lid, commemorating Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805) and the battle of the Nile, 1798. The surface is enamelled, the base and sides pink, the lid white with a black transferred inscription 'Where Caesar and / Alexander Fought Brave Nelsons Fleet / new wonders wrought'.
