Patch box
Oval patch box with a mirror inside the lid, commemorating Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805). The surface is enamelled pink. On a black disc in the centre of the lid is painted a white ship surrounded by the gold inscription 'Victory 1805 Trafalgar'. The remainder of the lid is covered with a pattern of small flowers in white and gold.
