Box
Turned box commemorating Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805). The round wooden box is decorated with black lacquer, varnished and painted in oils. A portrait of Nelson wearing a hat, after Lemuel Francis Abbott, is painted on the lid and the sides are decorated with a sea battle. On the base, a wreath, anchor and gun are shown on a rocky shore.
