Toothpick case
An ivory toothpick case given by Lady Emma Hamilton (circa 1765-1815) to Nelson's niece, Charlotte Mary (1787-1873). The case is oblong with gold hinges and mounts. In the centre of the lid, under glass, is mounted brown hair with 'Emma to Charlotte' set on it in tiny white beads. The interior is lined with plush with a mirror inside the lid.
