HMS Glory

Oil painting of HMS 'Glory', the vessel steaming though a stormy sea. In an Oxford frame, glazed. A paper label on the back reads: 'Painted in Wei Hai by an unknown Chinese while HMS Glory was on duty in the Yellow Sea 1903. Oak frame hand made by a London brewery master wheelwright. 1904.' Framed by the donor's grandfather who obtained the painting in Wei-Hai-Wei in 1904 while serving on the ship.
